Not your average RV
The Samara is the seed pod of the Big Leaf Maple tree, and SamaraVan is an homage to our evolution of building vans here in the PNW. SamaraVan started small, just building vans for fun and for personal adventures. Over time, we have professionalized our process and worked to design and build beautiful, functional vans at our shop in the far NW corner of Washington.
Each van is rigorously inspected by a third party, NOAH, ensuring safety and reliability for years to come.
We offer a personalized experience, one van at a time. With a focus on sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics, we always strive to provide the best possible product and experience for our customers.

Our Story
We started out building our first van in 2017. A 2015 Ford Transit medium roof. Far from perfect, we learned a lot and had a blast living in it until the pandemic hit in 2020. We decided to renovate that first van, using all of the experience we had gained living on the road the past 3 years and sold it soon after. Since then we've built and sold 7 vans and helped friends and family design and build their own. We've been there and we're here to help! Whether you just want help with plumbing or some cabinetry or you want an entire build, we're happy to talk and see what we can do for you!
Meet Annie and Charlie
We've been together since 2016 and have lived in various forms of mobile transit since we met. Avid outdoors people, we have built a life around travel, outdoor recreation, and mobile living. We both work for the National Park Service seasonally in the beautiful PNW as our day job. Whether it's rafting, mountain biking, climbing, snowboarding, or just exploring we love getting after it and want to help you do it too!
